MATHS MODEL CLASS
Maths Model Class was conducted for the teachers handling Mathematics for classes 6 to 8. These teachers attended the session on 25th October, 2023, from 4.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. The teacher RP Mrs. A.B. Sumathi started her topic using a small decoding activity and through this activity she introduced the topic ‘Factorisation’. She used three different methods to teach Factorisation to the participants.
(i) Activity method
(ii) Tic Tac Toe method
(iii) X – O – X method
To understand common factors and to find common factors for the given algebraic expression. Also recalled identities and carried out different methods to factorise the given polynomials. The teacher made the session very lively and interesting through her methods and examples. At last, she gave home assignments by asking where we use Factorisation in real life. It made others think and kindled the knowledge about the topic.
