REUNION OF THE ILLUMINATED HEARTS
The SBIOA Educational Trust stands as a role model for educational trusts and institutions across the country. With its visionary leadership and commitment to excellence, the Trust has continually set high benchmarks through its unique and inspiring initiatives. For nearly 45 years, it has rendered yeoman service to society by nurturing generations of learners and educators.
In recognition of the invaluable contributions made by its staff members, the Management Committee of the Trust decided to honour all those who have dedicated their lives to education under its banner. Thus, August 12, 2023, became a memorable day — the day of the ‘Illuminated Hearts’ Reunion, when all retired and serving members gathered for a grand celebration of camaraderie and gratitude.
The Management team, comprising Mr. A. Senthil Ramesh, President; Mr. A.V. Joseph, Secretary & Correspondent; Mrs. S. Santhi, Associate Secretary; Mr. S. Manimaran, Treasurer; the Correspondents of the S.B.O.A. Schools, and other members of the Management Committee, graced the occasion to honour the esteemed ‘Illuminated Hearts’.
Nearly 250 retirees participated in this touching and joyous reunion. Stalwarts from various institutions travelled long distances to be part of this special event. Each guest was warmly welcomed with a badge at the entrance, symbolizing honour and belonging.
The Trust had meticulously organised the event to be a blend of nostalgia and celebration—filled with entertainment, sharing of cherished memories, heartfelt conversations and joyful reunions with old friends. As a mark of appreciation, the Management presented every ‘Illuminated Heart’ with a special gift hamper.
The retired staff were deeply moved by the thoughtful gesture and expressed their heartfelt gratitude, hoping for more such reunions in the years ahead. The evening concluded with a sumptuous dinner, where laughter, stories and fond memories filled the air.
The veterans departed with smiles, warmth and joy, leaving behind an enduring sense of togetherness. The event truly rekindled the spirit of joy, gratitude and inspiration in every heart — young and old alike. It was indeed a rejuvenating and memorable reunion for all.
