The SBIOA Educational Trust is a role model to all the other educational trusts & institutions all over the country. The Trust sets its own benchmark in all its unique activities. For nearly 45 years, this Educational Trust has been rendering yeoman’s service to the society. To honour the service of the staff of the institutions under the SBIOA Educational Trust banner, the Management Committee decided to bring all the veterans together. Thus, August 12th, 2023, was the day when all the retired fraternity and the other staff were invited for the mega Reunion of the ‘ILLUMINATED HEARTS’
The Management, comprising the President Mr. A. Senthil Ramesh, the Secretary & Correspondent Mr. A.V. Joseph, the Associate Secretary Mrs. S. Santhi, the Treasurer Mr. S. Manimaran, the Correspondents of our S.B.O.A. Schools and the other members of the Management Committee were present there to honour the ‘Illuminated Hearts’.
Nearly 250 retirees participated in this wonderful touching reunion. Stalwarts of these institutions had travelled from far off places to mark their presence on this special occasion. They were welcomed with a badged at the entrance. The Trust had organised the whole event in such a way that it was filled with entertainment, sharing of joyous moments, meeting of old friends and many more momentous events. The benevolent Management had presented every illuminated heart with a gift hamper. The senior staff were overwhelmed by this gesture of the Management and they opined that they look forward to such reunions in the coming years too. The day ended with a sumptuous dinner. The veterans chatted for long time and departed from the venue with smiles, laughter, hugs and joy. They kindled the spirit of joy & enthusiasm in the hearts of the young and old present there. It was indeed a rejuvenating reunion for all!
The State Bank of India Officers’ Association (Chennai Circle) whose motto is “Service Before Self” is a registered Trade Union of S.B.I. Officers working in the State of Tamilnadu and U.T. of Pondicherry. The State Bank of India Officers’ Association Educational Trust was sponsored in the year 1978 by the Association and it started educational institutions for the benefit of Officers’ children and to serve the society. This service is given irrespective of caste, creed or colour.
