SBOA Inter School Sports and Games 2023 – the Mega Sports Meet to depict ‘Oneness and Sportsmanship’ was held from 1st to 3rd September, 2023. Smt. V. S. Surekha, Indian International Athlete (Pole Vault), was the Chief Guest of the Inaugural Function. The traditional welcome given by the students stole the hearts of the spectators. Various disciplines in Athletics and Games were conducted. Games such as Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Badminton, Table-Tennis, Kabaddi, Chess and Kho-Kho were conducted. The Valedictory Function was held on 3rd September, 2023. Shri. D. Pazhani, DIG of Prison, Madurai Range, was the Chief Guest and Shri. P. Thanga Raman Pitchai, Deputy Superintendent of Police, was the Guest of Honour.
The President Shri. A. Senthil Ramesh, the Secretary & Correspondent Shri. A. V. Joseph, the Associate Secretary Smt. S. Santhi and the Treasurer Shri. S. Manimaran, the Correspondent of SBOA School, Madurai Shri. P. Philip Raj and the Correspondents of all the other SBOA Schools were part of the colourful and grand event of the Inaugural & Valedictory Functions. SBOA School & Junior College, Chennai, received the ‘Overall Shield in Sports’ and the ‘Overall Shield in Games’.
The State Bank of India Officers’ Association (Chennai Circle) whose motto is “Service Before Self” is a registered Trade Union of S.B.I. Officers working in the State of Tamilnadu and U.T. of Pondicherry. The State Bank of India Officers’ Association Educational Trust was sponsored in the year 1978 by the Association and it started educational institutions for the benefit of Officers’ children and to serve the society. This service is given irrespective of caste, creed or colour.
