The SBOA Matriculation School was started in June 1983 with classes VI to IX in response to the needs of many pupils who wanted to pursue their studies according to the Matriculation School syllabus of the Tamil Nadu Government. Ever since, the School has grown into a full-fledged Institution, producing 100% results in the Std X and XII Board Exams, with many centum and state ranks. The School has grown from thatched sheds to a State of the Art buildings in two campuses.
The School’s infrastructure provides air-conditioned classrooms for the kindergarten and primary, smartboards for all classrooms, pet corner, basketball court, indoor stadium, well functioning canteen, two libraries, both physical and digital, etc.
The motto of the Trust ‘To Educate and Illuminate’ has led to many initiatives taken by the SBOA Matriculation School to provide a complete, liberal and comprehensive education so as to develop a sound character and a fine personality among the students who need to grow into young men and women with a keen sense of discipline, responsibility, dedication, integrity and loyalty towards their country. Hence various social initiatives such as adoption of a village, literacy awareness programme and exposure of the vast knowledge skills and opportunities available for the future generation through the digital library etc., is being taken by the SBOA Matriculation School to create, support and nurture a well grown confident individual, ready to face current and future challenges and eager to achieve his/her full potential through emotional, physical and cognitive development.
The State Bank of India Officers’ Association (Chennai Circle) whose motto is “Service Before Self” is a registered Trade Union of S.B.I. Officers working in the State of Tamilnadu and U.T. of Pondicherry. The State Bank of India Officers’ Association Educational Trust was sponsored in the year 1978 by the Association and it started educational institutions for the benefit of Officers’ children and to serve the society. This service is given irrespective of caste, creed or colour.
