The SBOA Play School located in the heart of S. S. Colony at SBI Staff 2nd Colony, By-pass Road, Madurai, is a refurbished building where education and convenience seamlessly come together.
The inauguration of the refurbished SBOA Play School was held on 20.11.2023. The upgraded facilities contribute more learning environment and provide an excellent educational experience for the kids. The School offers a range of facilities including colourful classrooms, play area and Montessori labs to enhance the overall educational experience for the kids. The School helps in the development of social, pre-academic and general life skills. It promotes a child’s emotional and personal development by providing opportunities for the kids to learn in the ways that kindle their interest and foster a strong sense of curiosity. It aids in the development of inquisitive learning through entertaining activities in each class.
The classrooms are frequently set based on different subjects like story corner, kid’s activity corner etc. The charts of word wall, sight words, picture talk, songs and rhymes etc. are strategically placed in the classrooms. These make the learning more accessible and promote a visual stimulating environment. Activities are well planned in the School for the lively interaction and hands on experiences for students.
This learning environment focuses on strengthening their mental, emotional and linguistic skills in order to build their fundamental motor, cognitive, physical and psychological abilities.

The State Bank of India Officers’ Association (Chennai Circle) whose motto is “Service Before Self” is a registered Trade Union of S.B.I. Officers working in the State of Tamilnadu and U.T. of Pondicherry. The State Bank of India Officers’ Association Educational Trust was sponsored in the year 1978 by the Association and it started educational institutions for the benefit of Officers’ children and to serve the society. This service is given irrespective of caste, creed or colour.
